“Student and Teacher Well-being: The Singapore Experience” Webinar by Dr Ng Pak Tee, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

The captioned Webinar, part of the Academy for Leadership in Teacher Education (ALiTE) International Webinar Series for Exemplary Scholarship, was successfully held on May 27, 2022. It was delivered by Dr Ng Pak Tee, Associate Professor at the Department of Policy, Curriculum and Leadership, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The Webinar was attended by around 210 participants, including university academic staff and students, school principals and teachers, researchers and government officials.
A warm welcome was expressed at the beginning of the Webinar by Dr Andrew Pau Hoang, ALiTE Post-doctoral Fellow. Dr Ng then delivered the lecture, in which he shared some recent initiatives in Singapore attempting to address the twin issues of student and teacher well-being. He also shared his own experience of focusing on holistic education.
The Webinar was followed by a fruitful Q&A session, facilitated by Dr Hoang and Dr Monaliza Maximo Chian, another ALiTE Post-doctoral Fellow. Dr Ng answered thought-provoking questions from the enthusiastic audience.
