The EdD is for experienced professionals who are, or aspire to be, educational leaders.
Applicants should (1) hold a Bachelor’s degree with second class honours and a taught Master's degree; or a Bachelor's degree with first class honours; and (2) demonstrate a record of at least 4 years of professional experience in an educational institution or services in the education sector or other relevant sectors as judged appropriate by the Faculty. Applicants who do not meet the above requirements will be considered on their own merits.
Application for September 2023 intake is now CLOSED.
Application for September 2024 intake will be opened in December 2023 .
Applications should be submitted in electronic format via the online application system at https://admissions.hku.hk/tpg/programme/doctor-education by the application deadline.
In addition, a "Statement of Proposed Area of Professional Inquiry" regarding the applicant's initial research interest and other supporting documents as .pdf files should be submitted by the deadline to the Office of Research (email@example.com) by email.
