Candidates with different educational backgrounds are required to satisfy the basic University Entrance Requirements which can be found from the HKU website:

Application Procedures

JUPAS applicants

Local candidates wishing to apply on the strength of their HKDSE results should apply through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) using Programme Code 6119.

Non-JUPAS applicants

Non-local candidates and local candidates with an international qualification other than HKDSE should apply via the International/Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme.
