Education students receive Best Presentation Awards at the Undergraduate Research Fellowship Programme (URFP) Poster Session 2021-22

We are delighted to announce that two of our students have received Best Presentation Awards in recognition of their professionalism and great effort in preparing their presentations at the URFP Poster Session held on May 6, 2022. The successful awardees are Jim Hiu Chun, Vanessa and Donald Francis Bao Ward, both from the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education in Language Education – English programme.

Vanessa’s research topic was “Entrepreneurial spirit development through informal learning by secondary school students: A Hong Kong case”, while Donald’s was “Incidental grammar acquisition from reading: The development of L2 implicit and explicit knowledge”.

The URFP is a prestigious programme which aims to enhance students’ learning experience and to nurture the next generation of researchers/scholars. It offers opportunities for academically outstanding undergraduate students to undertake research under the guidance and supervision of academics who have a strong research track record and experience in training research postgraduate students. Research internship award recipients present their studies and findings through the poster session organised at institutional level.

Congratulations to Vanessa and Donald. Keep up the good work!
