Outstanding Teaching Award

Dr Promail Leung, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty’s Academic Unit of Mathematics, Science, and Technology, has received the Outstanding Teaching Award under the University’s Teaching Excellence Award Scheme (TEAS) in recognition of her dedication to teaching and the impact she has made on student learning.
Dr Leung’s teaching philosophy was effectively presented in her portfolio, demonstrating a robust integration of a learner-centred approach in her teaching. Her commitment to providing diverse field-based learning opportunities for student-teachers and in-service teachers has greatly enhanced their academic growth and encouraged a broader international perspective. Her dedication to teaching excellence is further evidenced by the positive feedback from students, colleagues, and community partners.
The TEAS aims to recognise, reward and promote excellence in teaching at the University. Under the Scheme, there are four categories of awards, viz. University Distinguished Teaching Award, Outstanding Teaching Award, Early Career Teaching Award and Teaching Innovation Award. The Awards recognise the teaching contributions of colleagues from different experience level and focus.
