Popular Science Programmes at the Science Promotion Unit of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (New)

Background of Community Partner

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) established Science Promotion Unit (SPU) in 2020 to promote popular science culture and exchanges of scientific inventions, so as to popularise the knowledge of science and technology and raise the scientific literacy level of the general public, integrate the concept of popular science into everyday life, and provide the milieu for creativity and scientific innovation.

Featuring curiosity, creativity, playfulness and collaboration, SPU collaborates with various science and technology organisations, art organisations, academic groups and scientists to organise a series of cross-disciplinary innovative popular science programmes to encourage everyone to explore the incredible world of science in our daily lives.
