Financial Education in Hong Kong (PGDE-PT) (New)

Background of Community Partner

Financial Education Centre (FEC), Hong Kong Family Welfare Society (HKFWS) is a charitable non-governmental social welfare organization established in 1949. We aim to deliver quality and professional social services to enhance the well-being of families and individuals in Hong Kong in order to foster a caring community. We have been providing services including integrated family services, integrated children and youth services, elderly and community support services, child care services and other specialized services.

Since 2007, the project ‘The Children Financial Literacy Project’ was launched and delivered different financial education programs to different schools. In 2017, we established the Financial Education Centre in Lai Chi Kok so as to root ourselves in the community. FEC is designed to promote the financial literacy of children, youth, and parents through experiential activities, edutainment programs, and social media platforms and reach out to different social strata in society.
