Junior Achievement Hong Kong (JAHK) is a member of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the world’s largest organisation dedicated to activating youth for future of jobs. Through delivery of cutting-edge, experiential learning in entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy, JA creates pathways for young people to realise their passion and potentials to the fullest.

 

JA collaborates with businesses, educators and policymakers around the globe to advance the United Nations Global Goals for Sustainable Development (SDGs); and JA has been recognised by the UN for contributing to Global Goal 8 – promoting development-oriented policies that support productive activities, decent job creation, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalisation and grow of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprise.

PROGRAMMES

JA Programmes serve primary to tertiary students with age-appropriate activities-based curricula enriched by business volunteers with their experiences. JA programmes are taught by business volunteers in over 100 countries, serving over 10 million students each year.

 

PROGRAMME REACH

Since its establishment in 2001, Junior Achievement Hong Kong has engaged the support of over 26,000 business volunteers from 700 companies and served over 400,000 students from more than 600 schools.

JA Worldwide is recognised as one of the Top 10 Most Influential NGOs in the World by NGO Advisor in 2019. JA’s impact is the direct result of collaborations with businesses and individuals. Each diverse partnership enhances and grows existing programmes, enables the launch of new JA initiatives, or provide funding for innovation and technology.

 

Project Details

 

Students will assist the Program Managers of JAHK in:

 

  • program planning, research and development, stakeholders’ coordination
  • providing on-site support to programme activities
  • delivering educational talks or activities at primary and secondary schools
  • assuring quality of the programme and delivery of the agreed learning outcomes.

 

Date

 

  • 25 September - 31 October 2023
  • Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm

 

Location

 

  • Primary location: JAHK Office, Unit 102, Beautiful Group Tower, 74-77 Connaught Road Central, Central, Hong Kong

  • Other location(s): primary/secondary schools and tertiary institutions of Hong Kong

 

Eligibility

 

PGDE (full-time) students of all majors who have the following qualities:

 

  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese) – both written and oral
  • Good facilitation and presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels
  • Good project management and IT application skills.
