Experiential Learning at HKHS
Background of Co-organiser
The Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) is an independent, non-government and not-for-profit organisation established in 1948, providing quality housing for the people of Hong Kong. Incorporated by Ordinance in 1951, HKHS has implemented various housing schemes to meet the needs of niche markets. Governed by Members with a Supervisory Board and an Executive Committee made up of professionals coming from different sectors of the community, we have been serving the Hong Kong community with a social mission.
Project Details
Students will join the Corporate Communications Section of HKHS to assist in the following areas:
- Youth engagement activities
- Outreach education programme
- Daily operation and act as a docent of HKHS Exhibition Centre
- Performing office administration duties
Date
- 23 September - 29 October 2024
Five days per week, 8:30am to 5:30pm
Students may be required to work on the weekend or in the evening
Location
- HKHS Corporate Office, 28/F, World Trade Centre, 280 Gloucester Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
- HKHS Exhibition Centre, Shop E, G/F, Prosperous Garden, 3 Public Square Street, Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon
- Outdoor assignments will be given if necessary
Eligibility
PGDE (full-time) students of all majors who are passionate about inspiring young people to explore the housing development of Hong Kong

- Upload the following documents to the respective project folder at HKU Moodle (Part 2) (Please combine all documents into one Word/PDF file)
- A personal statement (of not more than 200 words) explaining why you would like to join this EL project
- Your updated CV.
- Shortlisted students may be invited to attend an interview arranged by HKHS (details to be confirmed).
Remarks
HKHS will issue a certificate to the students upon completion of the internship.
