To be eligible^ for admissions to BSc(IM) in 2025-26, you should be

  • a local final year student who will successfully complete a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programme of at least two years in duration from a community college in Hong Kong by August 2025.  Candidates are strongly recommended to take either the IELTS or the TOEFL, and good performance in one of these tests would be a great advantage, OR
  • a local graduate of a recognised full-time Associate Degree (AD) or Higher Diploma (HD) programme of at least two years in duration from a community college in Hong Kong and is not currently enrolling in any bachelor's degreeCandidates are strongly recommended to take either the IELTS or the TOEFL, and good performance in one of these tests would be a great advantage.

^Applicants who have once enrolled in a bachelor's degree / higher degree programme at a tertiary institution and completed one or more year(s) of studies, irrespective of whether the qualifications have been awarded, should apply for first year places. 

Successful applicants shall be admitted directly to Year 3 of this four-year programme (i.e. there are no Year 1 or Year 2 admissions to this programme). 

Applicants should submit their applications through “Admissions to Senior Year Places (Direct Admissions Scheme)”. Please visit the University's website at “Admissions to Senior Year Placesfor the admissions requirements and detailed application procedures.  Please read carefully the "Step-by-Step Guide for Sub-degree Applicants" before application. 

Applicants are strongly recommended to submit IELTS/TOEFL results.  Good performance in either of these tests would be a great advantage.  Additionally, please provide a summary of not more than two A4-size pages of your extra-curricular activities, personal achievements, working experience, and any other relevant information supporting your application.

Application Deadline

First Round application deadline:  12:00 noon, November 27, 2024 (Hong Kong Time).

Applications submitted after the First Round application deadline will be considered as late applications,  which will be accepted before 12:00 noon, August 22, 2025  (Hong Kong Time) and will be considered on a rolling basis subject to programme availability.

As undergraduate places are being filled all the time, you are advised to apply for admission as early as possible.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and/or an interview in late February/ March 2025.  However, being invited to attend a test/ an interview is not an indicator of the chance of admission.  An email will be sent to shortlisted candidates for the details in February/ March 2025.
