Minimum Admissions Requirements for JUPAS

In accordance with the HKSAR Government's policy, as from the 2020 JUPAS cycle, only applicants with valid documentation confirming they are LOCAL applicants / students at the time of submission of applications will be accepted.  Please refer to the HKU website "JUPAS Admissions Scheme - Admissions Standards" for details.

 

Programme Admissions Requirements for JUPAS

1. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and fluently in both Cantonese and English.

2. Applicants are encouraged to enter details about their other learning experiences or extra curricular activities.

3. Supporting documents should be uploaded to the appropriate sections of OEA or SLP by the deadline specified by JUPAS.

 

Minimum Admissions Requirements for Non-JUPAS

Candidates with different educational backgrounds are required to satisfy the basic University Entrance Requirements which can be found in the HKU website "International Admissions Scheme/ Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme".  Candidates must be able to communicate effectively and fluently in both Cantonese and English.

 

Application procedures

 

JUPAS applicants

Local candidates wishing to apply on the strength of their HKDSE results should apply through the Joint University Programmes Admissions System (JUPAS) using Programme Code 6092.

 

Non-JUPAS applicants

Non-local candidates and local candidates completing an international qualification other than HKDSE should apply directly to the International Admissions Scheme/ Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme via the on-line application system.

Candidates who apply for the International Admissions Scheme / Non-JUPAS Admissions Scheme are strongly encouraged to include a personal statement, one or two teacher references, their predicted scores, and their most recent transcripts showing grades and GPA in their applications.
