HKU Faculty of Education ranks 7th in the
Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject 2024
As announced on April 10, 2024, the Faculty of Education at The University of Hong Kong (“HKU”) is ranked seventh globally in the latest QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. This is the tenth consecutive year in which the Faculty has been in the top ten QS rankings by subject.
Performance indicators are used to assess the universities, with weighting recalibrated for each subject. For the education subject, the indicators and their weightings are as follows: 1) academic reputation (50%); 2) employer reputation (10%); 3) citations per paper (20%); and 4) H-Index (20%). With an overall score of 88.3, the Faculty performed well across all criteria, showcasing its well-rounded achievements.
Professor Yang Rui, Dean of the Faculty said, “We are deeply honoured to be recognised as one of the world’s top-ranked institutions. This remarkable achievement reflects the exceptional contributions of our staff, students and alumni. We will continue to provide high-quality education and produce top-notch research in future, striving to lead the study and practice of education.”
The Faculty of Education at HKU has been dedicated to education research and professional training for 40 years. 香港大學教育學院於 2024 QS 世界大學學科排名位居全球第 7 位
香港大學教育學院於2024年4月10日公佈的「2024 QS 世界大學學科排名」中，位居教育學全球第 7 位，並連續十年於 QS 世界大學學科排名位列前十名。
QS 使用績效指標評估院校表現，每學科的權重均會按學科特質進行調整。於教育學科中，排名準則及比重為：1) 學術聲譽 (50%)、2) 僱主聲譽 (10%)、3) 論文引用次數 (20%) 及4) H指數 (20%)。學院的綜合得分為88.3分，並且在所有排名準則上都取得非常高的評分，顯示學院在各方面的優勢。
教育學院院長楊銳教授表示：「我們非常榮幸被認可為世界頂尖的學術機構。這項卓越成就反映我們的教職員、學生和校友的傑出貢獻。今後，我們將繼續致力提供優質教育，並發展頂尖研究，期望在教學研究及實踐的道路上保持領導地位。」
