Dr. Chenwei Zhang joined the Faculty as an Assistant Professor in July 2020. She gained her bachelor degree in Mathematics from Xiamen University, master and PhD degrees in Information Science from Indiana University, with a PhD minor in Computer Science. Her research has two streams—one focuses on science of science, which studies the mechanisms underlying the doing of science. The other stream is mainly in data science and information systems, where social network analysis and a variety of computational approaches such as machine learning and deep learning are applied for knowledge discovery.
