Programme Structure

Requirement for completion of the MSc(ITE)

  • Three core courses and
  • Either
    • A Capstone Project (equivalent to 1 course), 3 courses from a specialist strand and 3 elective courses; or
    • A Capstone Dissertation (equivalent to 3 courses), 3 courses from a specialist strand and 1 elective course

Elective courses

Candidates opting for the project mode are required to complete three elective courses which have not been taken previously as the specialist courses whereas candidates opting for the dissertation mode are required to complete the elective course “Research seminars and workshops”.   Not all courses will necessarily be offered.

^ These courses have been included in the list of courses which are reimbursable under the Continuing Education Fund.  The Office of the Continuing Education Fund does not have the record of registration of these courses under the Qualifications Framework.
