HKU is ranked World Number 1 for Education and Educational Research 
by U.S. News & World Report in the 2024-2025 Best Global Universities Subject Rankings

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) has once again achieved the top global ranking for Education and Educational Research in the 2024-2025 Best Global Universities subject rankings by U.S. News & World Report. Since the inclusion of this subject area in the rankings, this is the second time that HKU has attained the first place.

Professor Yang Rui, Dean of Education said, “We are honoured to be ranked number one worldwide in this subject area once again. My heartfelt gratitude goes to the Faculty members for their collective efforts. This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Faculty of Education at HKU. We are delighted to receive this recognition, as it serves as a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in education and educational research. The Faculty will continue its dedication to providing quality education and engaging in research with high impact both locally and internationally.”

The tenth annual U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities rankings examine 51 key academic subject areas and publish the lists of the top global universities in the areas. The ranking indicators include publications, citations, and normalised citation impact.

The outstanding performance of the Faculty of Education, HKU is reflected in various major world university rankings. It is ranked sixth globally in the latest Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2024 by Subject; and seventh in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, reaffirming its leading position in education on both the global and local levels.

香港大學於《美國新聞與世界報道》2024-2025年度全球最佳大學教育及教育研究學科
排名再居全球第一

香港大學（港大）於《美國新聞與世界報道》(U.S. News and World Report) 雜誌最新公佈的2024-2025年度全球最佳大學排名中，再次在教育及教育研究學科位列全球第一。自該學科被列入排名以來，港大已連續兩次蟬聯榜首。

港大教育學院院長楊銳教授表示：「我們很榮幸再次在這一學科領域被評為全球第一。我首先要衷心感謝學院同仁的共同努力。今年是港大教育學院成立四十周年，我們很高興獲此殊榮，這再次證明了我們對卓越教育及教育研究的不懈追求。學院將繼續致力於提供最優質教育，開展在本地和國際兩個層面上均具有影響力的研究。」

第十屆《美國新聞與世界報導》全球最佳大學排名對51個關鍵學術學科領域進行了評估，並公佈了各學科領域的全球頂尖大學排名，遴選準則包括論文發表數量、引用次數及正規化引文影響力。

港大教育學院於全球各主要大學學科排名中均表現優異，在2024年度的《泰晤士高等教育》世界大學學科排名中，位列全球第六；在2024年度 QS 世界大學學科排名中，位列第七，一再確定其在國際及區內教育學科的領先地位。
