Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2025
Press Conference
The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), coordinated by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), is an international assessment that measures 15-year-old students’ science, reading, and mathematics literacy. It assesses how well students can apply their knowledge and skills to real-life challenges, make sound judgements, and fully participate in the knowledge society. Apart from assessing students’ literacy in these three domains, PISA 2025 also assesses their competence to learn in the digital world.
In PISA 2025, 91 countries and economies participated in the assessment, and more than 760,000 students were tested worldwide. The Hong Kong component of PISA is conducted by the Faculty of Education of The University of Hong Kong (HKU), with 6,445 students from 230 secondary schools participating.
Members of the media are cordially invited to attend the press conference about the findings of PISA 2025 for Hong Kong students. Details are as follows:

(i) Understanding PISA results: factors and recommendations;
(ii) What we can learn from the study; and
(iii) Experience sharing by school principals and teachers.

「學生能力國際評估計劃」(Programme for International Student Assessment，簡稱PISA) 由經濟合作與發展組織 (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development，簡稱OECD) 主辦，測試各地15歲學生在科學、閱讀及數學等範疇的表現，評估學生在運用所學的知識與技能以應對現實困難、作正確判斷及投入資訊發達之社會的能力。除科學、閱讀及數學等範疇外，PISA 2025亦評估學生在數碼世界中學習的成果。
PISA 2025有91個國家及經濟體系參與，全球超過760,000名學生參加測試。香港地區的研究由香港大學（港大）教育學院負責進行，參與研究的學校有230所，共學生6,445名參與。
