Over the years, AIA’s financial planners in Hong Kong and Macau have started to serve Hong Kong and Macau citizens. Objectives

 

We believe in the saying that give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. Therefore, on top of our business, we did pro-bono work in the past years to facilitate the financial education in Hong Kong, including public seminars, internships and workshops. The objective of this project is to extend the scope of the above financial education, together with life planning into secondary school.

 

Project Details

 

Students will be involved in organising public seminar (depending on ability).

 

Details of work assigned to students:

 

  • Immerse learning of basic financial and life planning model, based on the real-life experience of financial planners
  • Produce educational materials for secondary school students to understand the nature of money and finance
  • Design the content and deliver the workshops or sharing for secondary school students
  • Facilitate discussion between students
  • Write reflection journal upon completion of the project.

 

Date

 

  • 25 September - 31 October 2023
  • Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm
  • Irregular working days, field-work may be involved

 

Location

 

AIA Office (Address: 21/F Lee Gardens Two, 28 Yun Ping Road, Hong Kong) and participating secondary schools

 

Eligibility

 

PGDE (full-time) students of all majors who meet the following criteria:

 

  • Preferably with prior experience in finance and economics
  • Driven mindset with responsibility
  • Enthusiastic and passionate in teaching, sharing and speaking
  • Professional manner and attitude
  • Good interpersonal skill
  • Understand Cantonese or Mandarin.

  • Shortlisted students may be invited to attend an interview and an aptitude test arranged by AIA Hong Kong (details to be confirmed).
