Supporting EdFest 2027: Event Planning and Coordination (NEW)
Background of Co-organiser
A local non-profit founded in 2015, Ednovators serves as a platform bringing local and overseas innovative educators and cross-sector leaders together to co-create more student-centric and future-ready education to support our young generation to thrive in life.
Objectives
EdFest 2027 aims to bring together educators, schools, and cross-sector partners to share and reflect on education innovations that have been developed and tested in Hong Kong in recent years. Through the joint efforts of different organisations and schools, a range of new approaches has been put into practice, and encouraging progress can already be seen.
The Festival seeks to show that education innovation is not only for a small number of pioneers or exceptional schools. While change is never easy, it is possible, and there is growing experience, evidence, and support across sectors to help make it happen. By making these practices and lessons more visible, EdFest 2027 creates space for exchange, collaboration, and practical learning.
Through the Festival, participants will be invited to connect with real examples, fresh ideas, and potential partners, so that they can take away insights and approaches that may be adapted and applied in their own work.
Project Details
The intern will work closely with the team to support the preparation of EdFest 2027 and related programme activities. Duties may include:
- supporting the planning and coordination of EdFest 2027;
- assisting in the preparation for the 1.5-day Festival event tentatively scheduled for 8–9 January 2027;
- liaising with partner organisations and other stakeholders on programme content, materials, and event logistics;
- coordinating and consolidating materials for event operations and promotional purposes;
- assisting in the development of event and marketing collateral, including presentation materials, digital content, and on-site materials; 1
- supporting communication with vendors, service providers, and event partners on logistical arrangements; and
- undertaking other ad hoc duties as assigned by the team.
During the EL Block Period (12 October to 17 November 2026), the student intern will mainly support the pre-event planning and preparation of EdFest 2027. This will include coordination with partners, preparation of programme and promotional materials, logistical planning, and other administrative support related to the Festival.
EdFest 2027 is tentatively scheduled to take place on 8–9 January 2027 as a 1.5-day event. While the Festival itself will take place after the EL Block Period, the student’s work during the placement will contribute directly to the event’s development and readiness.
