Improve Vulnerable Children, Youth and Caregivers through Health Behavioural Education (New)

Background of Community Partner

Be Priceless is a health education charity with the mission to strengthen the mental, physical and social health of diverse children and youth in Hong Kong. Our vision is for every child and youth to enjoy their full potential to flourish, inclusive of those living with disadvantages.

Our three service enhances children, youth and caregivers’ foundation of health, well-being and safety:

  1. Health behavioural education
  2. Community partnership
  3. Participatory research

Our health behavioural education is called S.E.E.D. (Self-Value, Empower, Educate, Protect from Dangers).

With more than 70 professionals, we developed SEED Health Behavioural Education to strengthen diverse children (4-17 years-old), youth, families and communities’ foundation of health in four areas:

  1. Socio-emotional growth: self-value, confidence, resilience, neuroscience of development
  2. Well-being of the mind and body: emotional regulation, self-case, seeking help for health care
  3. Safety: reduce the risk of mental disorders, violence, outbreaks, climate disasters
  4. Togetherness: equity; compassionate communication and relations

SEED Courses:

  • Children’s Course: kindergarten and primary school-aged learners
  • Youth’s Course: secondary school aged learners
  • Caregivers’ Course for parents, grandparents, domestic workers and guardians
  • Caregivers’ Course for educators, NGO staff, health and social workers

SEED workshops: To advance the learning of Course graduates and engage their family or community members, the workshops strengthen the foundation of health, well-being and safety individually and together.

The health behavioural change interventions are age-adapted and designed for neurodiversity and ethnically diverse learners.
