Ark Eden is a leading eco-education and permaculture centre based on Lantau Island, Hong Kong.

As a registered Hong Kong charity, we are part of network of global ecological restoration centres that provide sustainable solutions for global environmental, and social issues.

We do this through educational workshops, nature-based experiences and restorative projects that create a positive change in people's attitudes and actions towards the planet and towards each other.

Job Details

The principal requirements are to manage and lead experiential education activities with groups of young children aged 5 – 10 years, at Ark Eden holiday camps.

Requirements for the job:

• Must be comfortable in the outdoors
• Must be interested in experiential education and be comfortable with delivering workshops/programmes to children
• Enthusiasm & an understanding of environmental issues
• First aid certification (preferable)
• Fluent in English (Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency bonus)
• Physical stamina.  The job requires facilitating workshops in outdoor settings.

Skills that you will receive training and practice in:

• Leadership, management, teamwork and communication
• Experiential education theory and practice
• Safety standards within the outdoor education industry
• Resource management and logistics for experiential outdoor activities
• Techniques for reflective practice.

Expected Remuneration: 600-1000HKD per day, depending on experience and responsibilities
