Public Forum on Digital Education Policy in Hong Kong
Shaping the Future of Digital Education in Hong Kong: Navigating AI and Innovation

The purpose of this forum is to contribute to the formulation of the upcoming Digital Education Blueprint and the AI Literacy Learning Framework. We invite policymakers, educators, researchers, industry leaders, media representatives, and community members to join this vital dialogue. We aim to shape a shared vision and strategic priorities that will inform the government’s policy development. A well-crafted policy, aligned with the upcoming blueprint, can harness these advances to benefit all learners and prepare Hong Kong’s youth for an AI-enabled future.

In this forum, teachers and principals from local schools will share their experiences in integrating AI and digital tools in pedagogical innovations and curriculum transformations in the following areas:

• Empowering children’s AI literacy through computational thinking
• GenAI system to support personalized science learning and self-regulated AI usage
• GenAI for multimodal assessment innovations in language education
• Unleash creativity and foster responsible use of AI
• Teacher learning through agentic engagement in curriculum and pedagogical innovations
• School level AI policies for equity, data privacy, and ethical use

The forum will also feature how teacher learning and school strategic development for digital/AI transformation can be fostered through School-University Partnership that connects practice to research and vice versa. Concerns around data privacy, academic integrity, digital divides, and the evolving role of educators will also be discussed.
