Dr Woo Mei Wa, Esther, Director of Library Service/Fung Ping Shan Librarian, completed a Doctor of Education degree with the Faculty, for which she drew on her experiences to examine more closely the impact and learning outcomes associated with different learning spaces. The experience also prepared her for the changing role of academic librarians.

Mentor Models His Own Advice
Mr Kwan Cheuk Kuen, Anderson, is a Master of Education graduate and a mathematics teacher. He attempts to pass on his knowledge and enthusiasm to the student teachers of the new generation via the Faculty mentorship programme, because he really hopes his mentees could understand more about the current circumstances and ecology of the education field in the territory beyond their own classrooms.

A Heart for Education - From Tax Lawyer to Early Childhood Teacher
Ms Winnie Royden holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree from New York University. It was her children who inspired her to become a teacher. Ms Royden was promoted to principal after completing the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) programme, and she is as enthusiastic as ever about teaching young children and instilling good values in them.
