In Hong Kong, we provide fun, engaging, and real-life learning experiences for the next generation. Through these programmes, we empower people with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to take action and lead positive change for nature. Based at our nature centres, WWF offers a wide-ranging and comprehensive suite of educational programmes for students, youth, teachers, the general public, corporate partners, and stakeholders from across the region

Objectives

• To cultivate a new generation of environmental educators through on-the-job learning, equipping participants with knowledge in education for sustainable development, essential future skills, and informed guidance for their career pathways.
• Through participation in practical educational interventions, students will develop a comprehensive understanding of the education programme cycle, including programme design, implementation, and impact evaluation, while building relevant knowledge and skills for effective practice.

Project Details

• Participate in a variety of education activities, including WWF centre-based school visits, community-based events, school outreach activities, and multiplier training programmes. This includes observing WWF Education Officers delivering programmes and assisting in activities to develop skills in delivering outdoor nature education.
• Support the development, enhancement, and evaluation of environmental education programmes.
• Programme assignment: Independently deliver a 3-hour WWF nature education programme to a group of primary or secondary students

  • WWF Jockey Club Smart Wetland Management Project (Nature-based Solutions training workshops, citizen science projects)
  • WWF Walk for Nature
  • WWF school partnership programme
