Travel Support for Research Postgraduate Students for International Academic Training/Research Activities

Academic Support Services
- The Faculty has put aside some funding to provide free editing services for research students. MPhil/PhD/EdD students are eligible to apply for this service when they have a research paper ready to be submitted for publication in a peer-reviewed journal, preferably international. In order to ensure the paper is ready for final editing, the primary supervisor's endorsement is required. Since funding is very limited, conference papers, project reports and theses are not covered by this service. Please email Miss Kitty Chow when you have a paper ready for final editing.
- Consultation on research methods is available for MPhil/PhD/EdD students, in conjunction with the supervisors concerned. For the academic year 2017-18, the staff members designated to provide this service are Dr Gaowei Chen and Professor Jimmy de la Torre.
In addition, workshops/seminars on research methodologies will be organized from time to time.
- The Graduate School, in collaboration with other units in the University, provides a range of support courses and services to MPhil and PhD students, including the Statistical Advice Centre for Students (STACS) and Graduate Student Writing Support Service. Please refer to the Graduate School's website for details (under "Supporting Courses & Services").
