Programme Structure

Requirement for completion of the MSc(ITE)

  • Three core modules and
  • Either
    • An Independent Project (equivalent to 1 module), 3 modules from a specialist strand and 3 elective modules

        or

    • A Dissertation (equivalent to 3 modules), 3 modules from a specialist strand and 1 elective module

Elective modules

Candidates opting for the project mode are required to complete three elective modules which have not been taken previously as the specialist modules whereas candidates opting for the dissertation mode are required to complete one elective module “Research seminars and workshops”.  Not all elective modules will necessarily be offered every year.
