A Research Opportunity Captured - Our PhD Student wins a Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Research Scholarship MoreClose
We are pleased to announce that Mr William Choi Tsun Man, a PhD student in the Division of Speech & Hearing Sciences (SHS), was one of six HKU students to be awarded a Fulbright-RGC Hong Kong Scholarship in the last round. William will be working on psycholinguistic and neurolinguistic aspects of lexical tone perception at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the USA for 10 months starting from September 2017.
He recently also received awards for the Faculty's Best Research Postgraduate Student Publication (co-authored with Dr Shelley Tong in the Division of SHS) and a Research Postgraduate Student Teaching Award. William’s PhD project is being supervised by Dr Shelley Tong and Professor Lena Wong.
