Digging into your data: Why Linear Mixed Effect Modelling may help you get a higher score on your final year project

About the workshop

This workshop is targeted at researchers/staff members who want to use good statistical skills to answer interesting research questions: e.g. does intervention A work better than intervention B? The workshop utilizes a fun and engaging way to stimulate the participants to think about how they can use linear mixed effect modelling (LME) in their own research projects. The first part of the workshop focuses on the myth of linear mixed effect model. We will then explore how we can apply LME in your project. I minimize the math and focus on the key conceptual and practical issues that are particularly relevant for speech and hearing applications.
